SupraNet Communications, Inc. completes the SSAE 16 Type II audit

SupraNet is proud to announce the completion of the SSAE 16 Type II audit at the close of 2011. The SSAE 16 II, which stands for the Statement of Standards for Attestation Engagements, extends the reach of SupraNet’s previously completed SAS 70 II audit (Statement on Auditing Standards). In addition to finance, the SSAE 16 II reports on other types of controls, such as those related to compliance and operations. By completing this audit, SupraNet was brought up to date with new international service organization reporting standards (ISAE 3402), an important component for any of our clients who do business internationally.

The previously completed SAS 70 audit was designed to assess the sufficiency of the service company’s controls and the effectiveness of those controls. The SSAE 16 II includes a number of improvements in the examination of service providers and was the next evolution in examining a service provider’s controls and rendering an opinion for the provider’s customers.
